Residential Services
A place to call home with support to thrive.
Our group homes in Davie and Yadkin Counties provide comfortable, family-like environments where adults with intellectual, developmental, and mental health challenges build skills, relationships, and lives they're proud of.
With 24/7 trained staff support, each person has the dignity of their own space, the choice to pursue what matters to them, and a community where they belong.
What We Provide
A Welcoming Home
Each group home serves up to 6 residents in a comfortable, well-maintained setting.
Every person has their own bedroom with a key—a space that's truly theirs. Homes are located in quiet neighborhoods close to shopping, community resources, and activities.
Person-Centered Planning
Every resident served works with staff to develop personal goals—whether that's learning to cook, managing a budget, pursuing hobbies, building friendships, or preparing for apartment living.
📌 Note: The plan is tailored to what matters most to each individual.
24/7 Trained Staff Support
📌 Tip: Our team members are available around the clock to:
• Administer medications safely and on schedule
• Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals
• Provide personal care assistance as needed
• Arrange transportation to medical appointments and community activities
• Teach independent living skills at each person's pace
• Support emergency preparedness and safety
Independence. Dignity. Joy.
Building Independence
Residents learn life skills that increase autonomy and confidence:
• Meal planning, cooking, and nutrition
• Household cleaning, laundry, and home maintenance
• Personal budgeting and money management
• Safe use of appliances and tools
• Emergency preparedness and safety procedures
• Health management and medication self-administration
• Self-advocacy and informed decision-making
Skills are taught hands-on, with patient support that builds toward greater independence.
Ensuring Dignity
Every resident is honored as an individual with choices and a voice:
• Your own bedroom with a personal key
• Control over how you spend your time
• Input in household decisions and meal planning
• Privacy and respect for personal boundaries
• Support that adapts to your needs and preferences
We believe dignity means having agency in your own life—even when you need support to exercise it.
Creating Joy
Connection, community, and meaningful activity are central to daily life:
• Friendships with housemates and staff who care
• Participation in community events and activities
• Pursuit of personal interests, hobbies, and passions
• Volunteer opportunities and civic engagement
• Celebrations, outings, and shared experiences
What brings you joy is as important as what keeps you safe.
A Path Forward
For some residents served, the group home is a training ground. After developing skills in cooking, cleaning, budgeting, safety, and self-advocacy, they transition to apartment living through our Independent Living program.
For others, the group home is home base for living their best life—a stable foundation from which to build friendships, contribute to the community, and pursue what brings meaning and joy.
Both paths are a success. What matters is supporting each person's goals and helping them live the life they choose.
